NOTE- There is a Henry Barricklow, born ca.1820, who appears in Richmond,Nemaha Co.,KS census records(1860), who hasn't been connected, as yet. Henry could have been the son of Farrington(b.1777) by his first wife, and who may have accompanied his uncle, Henry Barricklow(1798-1872) and family to Kansas in 1855.
One of the Farrington Barricklows just mentioned attempted to homestead in Iowa in the 1830's, appearing in the 1836 Iowa State Census. However, that appears to be the Farrington who died about 1836, whose family returned to familial Barricklow enclaves in Ohio Co.,Indiana shortly thereafter. Some of their adult children had already married in Iowa and chose to remain. John Barricklow(1775-1844), also a son of Conrad and brother to Farrington(1777-1861) appeared to be living with his brother in Randolph Twp.,Dearborn Co.,IN in 1820 and 1830, as there were two adult males of the same age in the household. The only Farrington Barricklow listed, based on age and number of children, fit the profile of being the son of Hendrick(c1745-1825). John and brother, Farrington, sons of Conrad, were only two years apart in age and were probably very close. Both seemed almost childless by their first wives and may have operated a farm together, perhaps even taking in orphaned offspring of a deceased sibling or neighbor, which might account for the others enumerated with them in the 1820 and 1830 censuses.
