NOTE #1- Absalom married late in life. His wife, Catherine, was an apparent widow with a young daughter of 5-10 years of age when she married Absalom between 1825-1830.
NOTE #2- Absalom was named as an unmarried brother of Barnet in Barnet's will,dated 22 Aug 1824, and which was probated 13 Sep 1824.
NOTE #3- This Absalom Barklow is sometimes confused with his nephew, Absalom(1794-1873), who removed to OH, married Susannah Springer, and eventually settled in Mahaska Co.,IA.
NOTE #4- There is also an Abraham Barklow,born 5 Apr 1785-died 5 Oct 1842, buried in the Silver Springs Methodist Church Cemetery, who may confuse researches who find the death dates so close. But, Absalom's will was probated in May,1842, five months before Abraham Barklow's death. A person's will is not likely to be probated prior to his/her death.
